“I was blown away and am incredibly happy I signed up for the course. Very practical. Very clear. Very visual and engaging. So much useful information... I highly recommend!”
This is the first of five revision sessions for A Level students studying A Servant To Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni, adapted by Lee Hall.
This 45 minute webinar focuses on how to create comedy in the scenes where Beatrice and Florindo appear. Covering:
Characterisation: movement and gesture repertoires, vocal expression, rhythms
Comic techniques
Interactions with each other and other characters
Articulation of the language necessary to communicate ideas on paper
Q & A
It would be advantageous for students to have re-read the scenes where these characters appear in advance of the session. Students will need copies of the text with them.
Students should join as a whole group in an appropriate space at your school. You will need to ensure a large screen with speakers can be accessed. It is useful to have a microphone to ask questions or the chat can be used. It is not essential to have a web camera on, but it is helpful so that Cheryl can guide and advise on movement.
“The workshop was amazing! Cheryl has so much energy. I went from knowing nothing to knowing loads in just a few hours”
